Software Engineer - Data Protection
SEPATON is seeking a Software Development Engineer to help maintain the market leadership of our S2100-ES3 Appliance. S2100-ES3 system is a Linux based multi-node & Clustered VTL appliance hosting a suite of Data Protection applications - De-duplication, Replication, OST OpDup etc.,.
The ideal candidate will be self starter with demonstrated strength in designing, developing and supporting of data storage and protection products.
Responsibilities:
Provide performance and feature enhancements to VTL and Data Protection Applications.
Perform root cause analysis of SQA and customer issues, and engineering solutions for them.
Contribute to the product documentation and testability efforts.
Requirements:
BSCS or equivalent educational background.

years experience in software development, with strong C/C+
coding skills.
Experience with Storage software development, Unix/Linux IPC/internals
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Proven ability to develop, deliver and support products into the enterprise market.
Knowledge of the software development lifecycle.
Preferred
Experience:
Storage protocols - SCSI, FC, OST
Knowledge of tape and disk storage technologies, Data Deduplication and Data Replication.
Tape library backup applicationsEstimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
