Manager, Social Media - healthcare experience a must!

Our client, located west of Boston, is looking for a Social Media Manager. The company is a global developer, manufacturer and marketer of medical devices. Their portfolio of products is used in a range of medical specialties. They are growing through new product development/launches and via acquisitions. We are looking for someone who has deep healthcare experience (background in medical device or diagnostics, pharma, biotech or life sciences industry experience is a triple must!!)

The Manager of Social Media will take the lead in advancing the company's presence as a premier healthcare company using the proper social media and digital channels. You will develop a comprehensive social and digital strategy at a corporate level that aligns with the company's overarching business goals across new (and existing) platforms. You will be the go-to-person for all content and work closely with colleagues across the enterprise.

This role involves
Developing digital and social media strategies working in partnership with colleagues in digital marketing.
Optimizing the social media strategy, which includes spearheading new social media programs and platforms.
Integrating social media with all global corporate communications strategies.
Developing and owning an editorial calendar and content for existing social media channels and serving as community manager for company sites and channels.
Creating content for a range of topics and then posting content using the CMS.
Monitoring channels and developing appropriate responses to boost engagement and maintain compliance.
Partnering with colleagues across functions (media relations, public relations, executive and employee communications) in order to leverage content and communicate across appropriate social and digital channels.
Develop metrics and constantly monitor how programs are performing.
Identify best practices and trends and share learnings throughout the company.

Five-plus years of social media and communications experience from a public relations, media relations and/or corporate communications role - corporate, agency or a mix.
Health care experience required, preferably within the life sciences industry.
Demonstrated keen interest in and knowledge of social media. On the cutting edge of new and emerging communications tools and digital channels.
Exceptional writer with a flair for storytelling.
Has written content for traditional, social and online media.
Solid understanding of how to develop appropriate messages for a wide range of audiences.
Strong in measurement and showing ROI.
Strong business acumen.
At the cutting edge of trends in healthcare.
Strong communicator - verbally, in writing and with non-verbal cues, too!

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
