Summary:
Under the direction of the Nurse Director, functions as a professional by utilizing the nursing process in caring for patients from admission to discharge. Is responsible for incorporating general, age specific and unit specific competencies into the care provided and is responsible for adherence to Marlborough Hospital standards and standards in accordance with the licensure of Registered Nurse by the Commonwealth of Massachusetts and American Nursing Association. The Registered Nurse employed in the Operating Room will have demonstrated expertise in nursing process. The OR Nurse provides nursing care to clients incorporating current nursing practice skills, communication strategies, current research and evaluation skills.
Qualifications:
Experience preferred, telemetry preferred, charge nurse experience preferred. Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing, current Mass license and BLS certification required, ACLS preferred. 1 Year OR experience. Graduate of Periop Course, Member of AORN preferred. CNOR certification preferred.
