What you ll do
The Infrastructure and Operations (I&O) organization embodies the hub of lifecycle engineering at TJX, delivering, maintaining, and optimizing our technology portfolio at cloud scale. We are a service-oriented team and our goal is to provide outstanding experiences to thousands of TJX associates, business partners, and application delivery teams across the portfolio.
As a release train engineer, you will be responsible for the execution of the work within the I&O Agile Release Train. This position works closely with the teams within the ART as a servant leader to monitor progress in Jira and define reporting and metrics to help leadership understand how the work is progressing. An approach of continuous improvement is essential to driving the efficiency of the ART. You will partner with the Lean Portfolio Management and the EPMO teams to report process and bring any blockers to the I&O Portfolio. Instilling the cadence of the SAFe ceremonies as well as preparing and leading PI Planning sessions is also an important part of this role.
What you ll need
We seek creative, customer-focused individuals with technical expertise and a mindset for continuous improvement. We rethink how software and infrastructure are delivered at cloud scale, and work closely with other teams to improve key services.
- 8
years experience as a project manager/program manager/Scrum Master with dedicated agile teams using scrum/SAFe; - Demonstrates the ability of scaling Lean and Agile and understands the unique opportunities and challenges associated with facilitating and continuously aligning a large development program;
- Embraces and is competent at coaching teams to collaborate rather than coordinating team activities, and moves from directing to letting the teams self-organize and hit their stride;
- Courage must have the courage to say no sometimes in order to avoid overcommitting the ART to too much work;
- Facilitator must be comfortable presenting in front of the team and management. They have an arsenal of tools and techniques to keep the participants interested and engaged;
- Negotiator understands that most things are not black and white. There are many shades of grey, where matters must be balanced out to achieve an agreement that is palatable to all parties involved.
